Ongoing sessions
The work. Fortnightly suits most people because the gap is where it actually happens — you need matches in between.
One line is enough. You do not have to explain why first.
Who it is for
People who came once and decided to keep going. Typically six to twelve sessions in total.
What happens
- We work on the thing we agreedAnd revise it out loud when it turns out to be something else, which is common.
- You practise between sessionsSmall, specific, and tied to a moment in your week rather than a general intention.
- We taperTowards the end the sessions spread out and you run most of it. That is what finishing looks like.
What it is not
Not open-ended. If we are twelve sessions in and nothing has moved, the right conversation is whether somebody else would serve you better, and I will start it.
Sessions
First session
Sixty minutes, mostly you talking, and me working out what is actually going on — which is often not what you booked about.
Coaches and referees
The same work, for the two groups nobody offers it to. Referees in particular are managing sustained public abuse as a normal condition of employment.
Team workshop
Half a day with a squad, and the only format where I am working for the club rather than for an individual — which changes what I can and cannot do, so it is said out loud at the start.
