Academia Ribeira
Football for six to sixteen, four nights a week, at two grounds in Porto. Everything a parent needs to know is on this site, including the parts most schools make you ask for.
We started in 2011 with fourteen children on a municipal pitch in Ribeira and no idea what we were doing. There are two hundred and sixty of them now, across two grounds, and the thing that has kept us honest is that almost all of our new families arrive because another parent told them to.
We are a football school, not a pathway. Some of our children will go on to play at a good level and most of them will not, and the reason to come on Tuesday is that Tuesday is good. If you are looking for somewhere that will tell you your eight-year-old is being watched, we are the wrong school and I would rather say so on the website than in a conversation you have paid for.
What we promise
- Come once, free, before you pay anythingOne full session. If your child does not want to go back, that is information and it cost you nothing.
- Everything cancellable from your own accountPause for the holidays, cancel with a month's notice, at eleven at night if that is when you remember. No phone call and no conversation about it.
- Nobody has ever been turned away for moneyIf the fee is the problem, say so to me directly. It stays between the two of us, including from the coaches.

Ours is on this page instead, in full, before you have met anybody. If you read one thing on this site before bringing your child, read this rather than the timetable.
