The age most schools lose children, usually because it stops being fun and starts being an audition. It is not one here.

What a session looks like

Sessions that assume they know the game, because they do
A girls-only group on Thursdays as well as the mixed groups
Fixtures against other schools, and a summer tournament nobody takes too seriously
Ninety minutes

Boots, shin pads, a drink. Bring the long sleeves in winter; the Ribeira pitch is beside the river and it is genuinely cold.

If a club approaches your child through us, you will hear about it from me and not from your child. That has happened four times in fourteen years.

Mostly games. Very little queuing, no drills that involve standing in a line, and nobody is sorted by ability.

Games, plus the beginning of actually being coached. Still no selection and still mixed ability.

The age when children start deciding for themselves whether they like football. Our job is mostly not to ruin it.
