Questions

Most of your work is under NDA. What can you actually show me?

Structure, method and anonymised numbers — which is what this whole industry publishes and it is enough to be judged on. Where a deal is public I name it; where it is not I say 'a Segunda club' and give you the real figure. The track record page marks which is which.

Do you work for rights holders or for brands?

Both, never on the same deal and never in the same category at the same time. If there is any overlap I tell you before we start and you decide. An advisor who is quietly on both sides is worth nothing to either.

How do you charge?

Valuation and review work is a flat fee, on the page. Partnership search is a fee plus a success percentage, because you should not carry all the risk of a market I am telling you exists.

How long does a deal take?

Eleven weeks to nine months. Anyone promising faster is selling you a contact list, not a deal — and a contact list is worth about what you would pay for it.

We are a small club. Is this worth it for us?

Sometimes not, and I will say so on the first call without invoicing you. Below roughly €300k of sellable inventory the fee is a real proportion of the upside. What is usually worth it at that size is the valuation alone.

Can you work outside Spain and Portugal?

Yes, and I have. What I will not do is pretend to know a market I do not — if the comparables are not there, the valuation is a guess with a decimal point on it.

A note when a deal is public

Four or five a year. Nothing else.
